SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS SUPPORT:

Mentoring is all about giving people the support and guidance so that they can achieve their potential. Helping them identify and work towards their goals in a way they can understand and manage, whilst giving them the support and reassurance when things don't go to plan. In some cases its just being there to help, listen and support a person when they need it the most.

 

SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

Mentoring to assist people to increase their self-esteem, self-efficacy and resilience by actively supporting their social and emotional wellbeing. The focus includes improving both the person’s life skills and the positive connections they have with their community.

 

INDIVIDUAL TALENTS AND INTERESTS

Mentoring to assist people to further develop their individual talents and interests (e.g. sports, photography, drama) in order for them to reach their full potential.

All of our staff complete regular training and have experience working with a wide range of disabilities. Working to a plan and having clear outcomes, insures that the time with the mentor is worthwhile and positive. Developing life and independence skills is the main focus of the sessions.
