Mentoring Success Story

On a recent session, a young person on our Beyond 16 programme was talking to their mentor about driving tests. The mentor asked the young person to read out the registration of a car and quickly realised that the young person couldn't see the number plate. The young person then shared that they used to wear glasses but hadn't been to have their eyes tested in a long time. We supported them to attend an optician's appointment where it was confirmed that they needed glasses and these were picked up this week. We have already seen a massive difference in the young person - their confidence has increased and they have been surprised at what a difference it has made to them. This is just another way that Impact Mentoring go above and beyond in supporting our young people.
